Types of users
actually we have two types of user
1 . is local user
2 . Domain user
1. Types of user profiles?
Local profile
Roaming profile
Mandatory profile
Note:
any user we are going to creating by default it`s creating 13 Folders
in this one Hidden file is there ntuser.dat file
if we delete this file user can not use the user account
for the path for see the above file in our system
in windows xp
C:\documentsttings\usernamefolder
in above all xp
C:\user\user\usernamefolder
1. How to create local profile?
local user get his data in local pc only he can`t get the data in server
Go to server Machine
||
Login as administrator
||
go to active directory users and computers
||
Right click on on the user folder click on new click on user
||
give the user details and password and create the user account
For verification go to client pc and login with above created account
2. How to check the user profile type ?
Right click on my computer properties
||
click on change settings
||
give the admin name and password (for access the settings)
||
click on advance
||
under user profiles click on settings
||
check the user profile type ..
3. How to give the permission to local user log in server computer ?
Go to server computer
||
login as admin
||
Go to group policies management short cut for (gpmc.msc)
||
expand forest
||
expand your domain
||
expand domain controller folder
||
right click edit on default domain controller folder
||
expand computer configuration
||
policies
||
windows settings
||
security settings
||
local polices
||
user right assignment
||
allow on logon locally
||
click on on browse
||
and give user name
||
apply
after that open run propmt and type gpupdate
press enter
after try to login the local user in server machine
4.How to create the roaming profile ?
roaming profile user data stored in server he access the data any where in the domain
Step 1
Go to server machine
||
log on as admin
||
Go to my computer
||
create one normal share folder with the any name eg xyz
Step 2
Go to server machine
||
log on as admin
||
go to active directory services
||
go to groups and computers
||
create one user with any name
Step 3
Go to active directory services
||
go to users and computers
||
expand user folder
||
right side pan select the particular user
||
right click and go to properties
||
click on profile tab
||
give the folder path
\\server name or ip\folder name \user name
||
apply
For verification go to client pc and try to log in and check the user data access
5.How to create the mandatory profile ?
in mandatory profile user data and everything has to be deleted once log off
its available until go for log off
Step 1
Go to server computer

log on as admin
||
go to my computer
||
create one normal share folder
Step 2
Create on domain user with any name
Step 3
Go to my computer properties
||
click on change settings
||
advanced
||
go to user profile settings
||
select the default profile
||
click on copy to
||
under the copy window
give following path
\\server ip\share folder name\username
||
ok

ok
Step 4
Go to my computer
||
open your your drive which is your create the share folder
||
go to folder option
||
click on view tab
||
check the mark on show hidden folder
check the hide protected operating system (recomemded)
||
click ok
||
now you can able see the hidden files in that following ntuser.dat change as ntuser.man

Go to active directory services
||
go to user sand computers
||
select the particular user
||
go to properties
||
click on profile tab
||
give the profile path
\\server ip\folder name\usernamev2
||
click to change select to every one
||
apply
||
ok
for verification go to client pc login with following user
